CANCELLED! Monday Night Swing

Monday Night Swing the 20th of December is cancelled, but we will be back the 10th of January at Mejeriet and at Kårhuset the 17th….

At the last Monday Night Swing this year we kick off the evening with a 1h beginners lindy hop class 18:15-19:15.
After that there is a social dance with a swing DJ until 22.

INSTÄLLD! Gratis dansfest med Swing Salsa Tango och Flamenco

Årets stora dansfest är nu gratis och öppen för alla åldrar. Det blir en intensiv blandning av Salsa, Lindy Hop (swing), Tango och Rumba Flamenca, med överraskningar på scenen och på dansgolvet.

Vi börjar kvällen med workshops i respektive dans. Vi erbjuder fyra omgångar med kurser (enligt schemat nedan) och ni har därför chansen att prova alla fyra danser. Efter kurserna fortsätter vi med dansgolv där vi blandar hejvilt salsa/swing/tango/Rumba Flamenca med tre olika dj’s.

Wednesday Swing at Ungdomens hus

Dags för swing på onsdagarna igen!

Denna onsdagen är det swing på ungdomens hus som gäller.
Vi passar på att bjuda på lite fika också, som ingår i entrén.
Bidrar man med något hembakat till fika buffén får man gratis inträde.

Entré
Medlemmar: 50 kr
Icke-medlemmar: 70 kr

Eftersom att ingången till Ungdomens hus är låst kommer vi att stå i entrén och släppa in besökare första kvarten varje timme.

Om du skulle komma utöver dessa tider kommer det finnas ett telefonnummer som ni kan ringa för att bli insläppta, men vi ber er att komma under dessa tider om det är möjligt.

Det kommer finnas fika till självkostnadspris. Om du bidrar till fikabuffén med något hembakat får du gratis inträde!

Med anledning av lättade restriktioner
De flesta covid-restriktioner hävs den 29e september, för vaccinerade*.
Därmed är det inte längre nödvändigt med förregistrering till socialdansen om onsdagarna, och vi kan återgå till en mer normal socialdans.
För att vi ska kunna göra det, vaccinera dig! Kan du av någon anledning inte vaccinera dig, se till att testa dig innan dans.**
Känner du dig det minsta lilla sjuk eller krasslig, stanna hemma!
Kom ihåg att respektera ett “nej tack” om du bjuder upp någon, som vi alltid gör, men var lite extra observant. Alla kommer inte vara bekväma i att rotera partner som förr.
Använd det sunda förnuftet, så kommer det här att gå bra.

Swing Kids/Teens Course & Parents Social Dance?

Vi väntar med barn och ungdomskurser till en senare termin, men de får gärna följa med en vuxen till denna träning. Det finns plats att ställa iordning en lekhörna med tjockmattor, gymnastikredskap och annat som finns i gymnastiksalarna. Föräldrar kan sen hjälpas åt att passa och på så sett få chans att dansa lite. Barn och ungdomar som vill dansa är såklart också välkomna att följa med.

Måste jag ha med en vuxen? Du som redan dansar är såklart välkommen utan att behöva släpa med dina föräldrar. Det är dock inte en aktivitet där föräldrar kan lämna sina barn och förvänta sig att någon tar hand om dem…

Det er med stor fornøjelse at vi inviterer til vores første workshop i bluesdans i år. Der bliver både undervisning for nybegyndere og for erfarne dansere, og vi sørger også for at der er socialdans. Læs mere om de nærmere detaljer nedenfor.

Wednesday Night Hop & Beginners’ Lindy Hop 3/11 – Smygpremiär på Moriskan!

Welcome to Cats’ Corners swingin’ Wednesday Night Hop at Moriska Paviljongen. The evening kicks off with a beginners’ Lindy Hop class at 7 pm. And the swinging social dance in Morsikans grand ballroom starts at 7.45 pm.

  • Beginners Lindy Hop Class: 19.00-19.45* (Stora salen)
  • Social dance: 19.45-23.00 (Stora salen)
  • Ballroom door fee: 70kr, 50kr for Cats’ Corner members

  • These classes are included in the door fee. No preregistration or partner needed to take part.

LIFTED COVID RESTRICTIONS

Almost all covid-restrictions are lifted on the 29th of September for all that are vaccinated*.

Therefore we will no longer have pre-registration for the social dance on Wednesdays, and we will return to a more normal social dance.

To be able to do so, make sure you’re vaccinated!
If you for some reason can’t vaccinate, make sure to test yourself before dancing**.

Also, remember to accept a “no thank you” if you invite someone to dance. As we always do, but please take extra care. Everyone won’t be comfortable rotating partners as before.

In general, use your common sense, and we will be okay.

With that said, we start to re-open for social dance for real.

Cats’ Corner is a non-profit dance organisation from Malmö. Our main focus is Lindy Hop, but we gladly also dance Charleston, Balboa, Shag, Blues, Authentic Jazz and other Swing dances.
