We are excited to announce that SwingShoes 5th End-of-Round Blues Thursday, will feature no other but Big Creek Slim!
We are very fortunate to welcome the blues musician Big Creek Slim to play some infamous blues tunes during the evening for our listening and dancing pleasure.
IT IS A GALA NIGHT!
-So do feel free to wear you most glamourous outfit on the dancefloor!
If you have not tried blues dancing, we have organized a taster from 18:00-19.15. You will learn the basic steps and moves, enough for you to participate in the social dancing when Big Creek Slim goes live.

Sunday afternoon every other week (odd weeks), we will have a cosy afternoon together. Drinking tea (or coffee), eating cookies, and most important dance together.
Swingin tunes will be heard, and a floor perfect for a swing-out or two.

December er jo fyldt med julefrokoster. Vi holder ikke egentlig julefrokost, men synes det kunne være hyggeligt at mødes til en bid brød før social dans. Konceptet er helt uformelt: Medbring en dele-venlig (jule)ret til fællesspisning.
Vi regner med at spise ca. 18 og danse fra ca. 19:30

December is the month of ”julefrokost”. We don’t have a balboa julefrokost, but we do think it could be hyggeligt to meet and dine before the social dance. The concept is quite informal: Bring along your favorite (x-mas) dish to share.

Save the date! This year we will celebrate the festive season with a cosy blues party.
The event will start off with a free blues dance taster class 19:30-20:30 for beginners. Space will be limited so be sure to get there early to secure your spot. The evening will continue into the late hours with DJ Sarah cooking up a delicious holiday themed set. Dress for the season if you feel like it!
This event will be free and open to the public until 22:00. After this the venue is only open to NGBG members. Not a member? No worries, its only 100/kr for a year’s membership simply sign up here: https://apply.cardskipper.se/r4q or Swish 100 kr to 1231083823 and write your email in the message and that will allow you to stay late and dance with us. Bring snacks, mixers or something for the bar to join the common bar!

Get ready for a great swing dance party near central Malmö on the 19th of November. Three smooth wooden dance floors with mixed tempos and music styles catering to the Balboa, Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag and blues dancers all night.
In the beginning of the evening we got balboa and slow bal for beginners taster classes followed by a more advanced Balboa class with the one and only Peter Loggins…
There will be no tickets at the door, BUT can easily pay your ticket online with card or Swedish bankgiro.

Run by dancers it has one BIG dance floor, one smaller dance floor and a café/lounge with a little room to dance at least some blues. All with wooden floors that we love to dance on.
There is no bar and no food served but you are very welcome to bring your own. let’s all meet up and and eat together from 18.00
There will be one floor dedicated to just fast music where Ingrid Gydmer and Mokhtar Mapar will play Balboa tempos like nothing under 189 bpm! The floor will be just as slidey as we like!
On the other dance floor DJ Ace aka Anton Cervin will play music suitable for lindy hop, solojazz and not as fast balboa/shag. As for the café/lounge that also have room to dance every one can wind down a bit with some blues music with DJ Oscar.
There are volunteer opportunities like minding the entrance for 1h to get in for free…

Save the date and get ready for a great swing dance party in central Malmö on NOVEMBER 19TH. Three smooth wooden dance floors with mixed tempos and music styles catering to the Balboa, Lindy Hop, Shag and blues dancers all night.

The first 50 of a total of 100 tickets will be released 12:00 on Thursday the 3rd of November. If you are put on a waiting list before 12:00 on Friday the 4th you will most likely get a ticket after that when we release the rest of the tickets after giving weekend participants priority.

Run by dancers it has one BIG dancefloor, one smaller dance floor and a café/lounge with room to dance at least some blues. All with wooden floors that we love to dance on.
There is no bar and no food served but you are very welcome to bring your own. let’s all meet up and and eat together from 18.00
There will be one floor dedicated to just fast music where Ingrid Gydmer will play nothing under 189 bpm! The floor will be just as slidey as we like!
On the other dance floor DJ Ace aka Anton Cervin will play music suitable for lindy hop, solojazz and not as fast balboa/shag. As for the café/lounge that also have room to dance every one can wind down a bit with some blues music with DJ Oscar. Some more DJs will be announced soon
There will be volunteer opportunities like minding the entrance for 1h to get in for free…
Beginners’ Lindy Hop and beginners’ Balboa weekends and courses are already open for registration. Registration for some Spring semester Lindy Hop courses opens soon. Next week we are starting the 2nd round of the new 5 weeks theme blocks and you can still grab a spot.
