Welcome to an extra swing on the beach. This time it starts one hour early, 17.30 and ends 21.00. There is no taster, just social dancing.

Välkommen på en swingin’ picknick och socialdans vid dansön i Nobelparken. Ta med filt, dansskor och något gott att äta. Själva dansgolvet går inte att boka men brukar vara ledigt.

Vi ses från 17 men kom gärna tidigare (eller droppa in senare). Det finns en megafon som du kan lägga din mobil i som då förstärker ljudet oväntat bra…

Det är gratis och öppet för alla.

Welcome to Cats’ Corners swing on the beach, Sundays June 30th to August 11th. As always there is a beginners’ Lindy Hop class at 6:30 pm and a swinging social dance at 7:30-9:30 pm.

HepTown och Visit Lund bjuder in till swingdans i parken varje onsdag från den 19 juni till den 14 augusti 2024

Vi har som vanligt prova-på i Lindy Hop, en fartfylld och rolig swingdans följt av socialdans till swingmusik.

  • Hela kvällen är gratis!
  • Det är drop-in utan föranmälan
  • Du är lika välkommen med eller utan danspartner
  • Oavsett ålder och danserfarenhet
  • Vi roterar danspartner då det blir bättre kurs så.

Vi tar det från böjan varje gång så att nya nybörjare kan hänga med men kommer även att variera något för de som är med flera gånger. Dessa prova-på ersätter dock inte våra längre nybörjarkurser och helgerkurser.

PROVA-PÅ LINDY HOP 18.30-19.30

Kvällarna inleds med en kort prova på kurs i swingdansen Lindy Hop, a.k.a Jitterbugg, en Afroamerikansk pardans från 30-talets Harlem, vilken stilmässigt har mer gemensamt med dagens street-dance än annan pardans.

Kursen riktar sig till vuxna men tonåringar som vågar är mycket välkomna att delta.

Yes, HepTown and Visit Lund invites you to swing in the park every Wednesday from the 19th of June to the 14th of August 2024

  • The whole evening is free!

  • We rotate dance partners as the course gets better that way

We take it from scratch every time so that new beginners can keep up but will also vary slightly for those who are joining multiple times. However, these drop-in classes do not replace our longer beginner courses and weekend courses.

BEGINNERS LINDY HOP DROP-IN CLASS 18:30-19:20

The evening starts with a short taster class in Lindy Hop aka jitterbug , an African American couple swing dance from the ’30s Harlem, NY. This class is targeted at adults BUT teens that are OK taking classes with adults are also welcome to join.
Just come and join us, no partner and no registration needed.
This class is taught in English as there is always lots of tourists joining

This course is aimed at adults, but teenagers who dare are welcome to participate.

MORE THAN DANCING

This is also a good time to have a picnic or barbecue, play some games or just lounging in the sun.
