Monday Night Swing + Shim Sham class 13/2

The evening starts with a fun and easy Shim Sham class 18.15-19.15. A solo dance routine that is seen as mandatory knowledge for every Lindy Hoper, but you can join this class even if you have never danced Lindy Hop

This class in included in the fee for the social dance

You are very welcome regardless of age, membership, dance ability, with or without a partner and if you are a student or not.

On the social dance we mostly dance Lindy Hop but you can often find someone dancing Balboa, Collegiate Shag and the Shim Sham

To follow up on Sonja and Antons very
successful beginners weekend last semester we have a “Balboa Continued” on ODD WEEKS in Malmö starting the 15th of February.

Balboa & fast swing dance party @ NGBG

Welcome to the first edition of Club 180! A balboa and fast swing dance party at NGBG. The name Club 180 implies that the BPM will be perfect for fast swing dancing like balboa and shag.

The wooden dance floor in the attic will be dedicated to fast swing dancing with indoor dancing shoes only, while the bar downstairs will serve simple food and cold drinks and play jazz and swing for us.

Swingdans på Kajen

Lørdag den 13 maj – vil ekkoet fra Ellington og alle de andre store swing komponister kunne høres og ikke mindst danses til på Kulturværftet. Vi omdanner Store Scene til et kæmpe dansegulv og danser Lindy Hop/Swing Dans til det sejeste orkester og til DJ musik.

Sheila Bouten og Johan Selander fra Swing Danseforeningen Swingshoes kommer og giver alle en introduktion til Swing Dans/Lindy Hop. De er nogle af bedste swingdansere vi har herhjemme og de har begge undervist på international niveau. Sammen vil de sikre, at alle grundtrin er på plads inden det går løs med live musik og DJ, så alle kan være med.

Den svenske sanger og trompetist Björn Ingelstam er aftens bandleder på Kulturværftet, og med sig har han et stjerne line- up af musikere, der vil sørge for at Store Scene kommer til at swinge i flere timer.

From the beginning of February we are going to Swing out at Kulturhuset Anders in Höör. Bring your friends and potential dancing partners and join us for some Sunday swing.
