We welcome you to Copenhagen – It’s all fun and games!

For the 7th year, the Copenhagen Lindy Exchange will make Copenhagen buzz with music, dance and laughter.

With a programme that’s filled with swinging live bands, a separate blues room for the late night, and plenty of daytime activities to accommodate most tastes, we want to give you a grand experience in wonderful Copenhagen.

Hepcats’ Sunday Swing – Free Intro

Hepcats Copenhagen proudly presents Hepcats’ Sunday Swing – the Copenhagen swing community’s social dancing Sunday hang-out.

THIS WEEK WE START WITH A FREE INTRO TO SWING DANCING AT 15.00 (no need to sign up, just come as you are!)!

The DJ will be in their place, and the dancers will be moving their feet like there’s no tomorrow. You don’t need to bring a partner, all you need is the will to swing! Everyone is welcome! Come as you are:)

The staff at Kulturhuset Indre By are in their full right to ask you to move to the changing rooms. Please respect the rules and respect the floors so that we can keep them perfect for dancing longer.

Lindy Hop Aerials Workshop

LinaMaria & Mattias together with Cats’ Corner, Karavan and Swing Station presents Lindy Hop Aerials Workshop!

25-26 May will be two days of thrilling and challenging aerial adventures together with LinaMaria & Mattias in the safe environment of Karavans new studio.

The workshop includes 8 hours of teaching during Saturday & Sunday with a nice long lunch break 12.30-14.00. We will talk about basic techniques (posture, timing, landing, warm up, etc) and go through some of the basic aerials (air steps) common in lindy hop, but also try some more advanced ones individually based on the experience and ambitions of the participating couples.

Workshopen omfattar åtta timmars undervisning under två dagar och kommer att ta upp grundläggande teknik (hållning, timing, landning, uppvärmning etc.) för att arbeta med aerials och få in det i sin dans. Flera enkla, effektfulla, aerials ingår samt mer avancerade aerials att arbeta vidare med efter helgen, allt beroende på nivå och intresse hos de deltagande paren.

Alla, nybörjare som erfarna, är välkomna att repetera samt ta del av de mer avancerade aerialsen. Under workshopen arbetar man tillsammans med samma partner och därför krävs det att man anmäler sig i par!!!

Dansetikett: Aerials är väldigt roliga och effektfulla att göra men p.g.a. av skaderisken för dig, din partner och de andra dansarna på dansgolvet skall man undvika att göra dem på socialdansgolvet. Gör framförallt inte aerials med någon som inte är beredd. Aerials passar däremot väldigt bra på uppvisningar, i jam circles eller vid sidan av dansgolvet!

Welcome to Cats’ Corners swingin’ Wednesday Night Hop at Spegelsalen. Unfortunately Moriskans grand ballroom is not available but instead, the social dance will be held in Spegelsalen together with coffee and cookies a.k.a. fika which is included in the door fee. The swingin social dance starts at 7.45 pm!

Welcome to Cats’ Corners swingin’ Wednesday Night Hop at Moriska Paviljongen. The evening includes a beginners’ Shim Sham class at 8 pm. At the same time the swingin social dance in Morsikans grand ballroom starts at 7.45 pm!

Blues originated from African-American culture and started at the fields where the slaves started to sing their working songs back in 1800.
Blues is a dance that everyone can dance just because it’s simply an expression of the music, although the dance can be both advanced and a simple two-step dance.
Blues gives people a vibe of coolness and connection to the ground and through this, it opens up for the dancer to be creative both solo and together with a partner!

At this course, we’re gonna invite you all to the basics in blues dance and give you some tools to start your blues dancing.
This is for you who never tried blues before, or for you who has some experience but want to learn more about blues.

För få danser på en kväll? Trött på väntelistor? Ta chansen att utforska danserna Balboa och Collegiate Shag i april och lär dig dessutom båda rollerna genom undervisningsmetoden ELEF (everybody leads everybody follows). Vi lär oss alla att föra och följa och du får dubbelt så många att dansa med!

Collegiate Shag
I denna kurs får du grunderna i båda roller i Collegiate Shag. Den riktar sig både till dig som är helt ny och till dig som gått kurser innan. När du får större inblick i den ena rollen utvecklar du en större förståelse för den andra roller också. Vi leker med grundsteg, teknik och turer och ger dig en bra grund att stå på så du känner dig redo för dansgolvet.

Too few dances in a night? Tired of waiting lists? Take the chance to explore the dances of Balboa and Collegiate Shag this April and even learn both roles through the concept of ELEF (everybody leads, everybody follows). We will all learn how to lead and follow and you will get double the amount of people to dance with!

Collegiate Shag
In this class, you will learn the basics in both roles of Collegiate Shag dancing. It’s suitable for both complete beginners and for those who attended classes before. When you have a better insight of one role you will engage a greater understanding for the other role, too. We will play around with the basic steps, technique, and movements and that will give you a solid foundation to be ready for the social dance floor.

Lundasnurren 2019 är här!

Den 19 maj 2019 klockan 09.00 öppnar vi dörrarna för Lundasnurren. Nytt för detta året är att vi kommer hålla till i Lomma Dansrotunda.

Tävlingen erbjuder regionala klasser i Boogie Woogie, Rock n roll, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, och Bugg. Buggen kommer även att erbjudas i nationell C klass. Utöver dessa klasser kommer distriktscupen deltävling 2 finnas samt utmaningen i både vanlig bugg och slow-bugg.
Dagen kommer helt enkelt att bjuda på massor av dans och glädje 💃🏼 🕺🏻
