Wednesday swing in the park | Lindy Hop | Season Premiere | Beginners Lindy Hop For both Swingkids & Adults | Lund 18/6

Yes, HepTown and Visit Lund invites you to swing in the park every Wednesday from the 18th of June to the 30th 0f July 2025.

Tonight the 18th of June and on July 16th, we’ll kick off an hour early with a special course for Swingkids aged 10-14.

• The whole evening is free!
• It is drop-in without registration
• You are equally welcome with or without a dance partner
• We rotate dance partners as the course gets better that way

We take it from scratch every time so that new beginners can keep up but will also vary slightly for those who are joining multiple times. However, these drop-in classes do not replace our longer beginner courses and weekend courses.

SCHEDULE

• Open: 17:30 – 21:00
• Cost: Free
• Swingkids 10-14 yers: 17:30-18:30
• Beginners Lindy Hop drop-in class: 18:30-19:30
• Social dance: 19:30-21:00
• After dancing, hang out & picknick by de dance floor: 21:00-??

TRY SWINGKIDS 10-14 YEARS 17:30-18:30

As a taste of the autumn Swingkids courses at Stenkrossen, LinaMaria & Jerry invite you to try a class in the park on June 18th and July 16th.

The course is aimed at those aged 10-14, but this evening we’re not too strict about age. Adults, however, should wait for the next hour!

BEGINNERS LINDY HOP DROP-IN CLASS 18:30-19:20

The evening starts with a short taster class in Lindy Hop aka jitterbug , an African American couple swing dance from the ’30s Harlem, NY. This class is targeted at adults BUT teens that are OK taking classes with adults are also welcome to join.
Just come and join us, no partner and no registration needed.
This class is taught in English as there is always lots of tourists joining

This course is aimed at adults, but teenagers who dare are welcome to participate.

MORE THAN DANCING

This is also a good time to have a picnic or barbecue, play some games or just lounging in the sun.
