Söderscen and Swing Helsingborg (https://www.instagram.com/swinghelsingborg/) invite you to a 4-week series of workshops, where you can learn a variety of jazz steps and combinations. As we will learn different moves each week you can join all workshops or some of them.
Swing with its unique energy is one of the most entertaining dances. It takes its name from the golden age of jazz music, the Swing era, which is known for musicians like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and Chick Webb. Its rhythm, which accelerates or slows down from time to time, has made it an extremely entertaining dance.
Swing dances can be performed both in pairs and solo. Solo Jazz, as one form of the Swing dances, is performed solo and consists of Charleston and authentic jazz steps.
Come with comfortable clothes and shoes!
Dates & Time:
Session 1: 30 June, 17:30-19:30 (English)
Session 2: 7 July, 17:30-19:30 (Swedish)
Session 3: 14 July, 17:30-19:30 (English)
Session 4: 21 July, 17:30-19:30 (English)
