Monday Night Swing in the big ballroom a.k.a. Gasquesalen at Kårhuset where we swing-out (almost) every Monday 19:30 – 22:00.

BYO DINNER & GAP WEEK

Tonight is the gap week between the course rounds in the main hall! We’re celebrating this with a big BYO (Bring Your Own) Dinner. We’ll be setting up a long row of tables and chairs so we can all eat together.

• 18:00: Dinner starts for everyone who wants to join early.
• 19:30: Social dance starts (DJ Tryout).
• LATE BYO: We’re leaving the tables and chairs for our Level C & D students and others that can’t make it early – so feel free to join for a later dinner/hangout!

Tonight we also have a Swing DJ Tryout! Come and dance to some fresh perspectives behind the DJ booth.

As always you are very welcome to our social dance regardless of age, membership, dance ability, with or without a partner and if you are a student or not.

LINDY HOP

Lindy Hop is an African American street swing jazz dance. It evolved from many other dances in the late 1920s and early 1930s in Harlem, New York.
It is a partner dance usually done to swing jazz music and it is one of the most improvisational, fun and expressive partner dances around.

At this social dance we mostly dance Lindy Hop but you can also find someone dancing Balboa, Solo Jazz and Collegiate Shag. You are of course welcome to come and dance foxtrot, bugg or any dance you know and just hangout.
