Saturday, May 2nd – Tasters, Show & Social Dance Flash Mob!
Celebrate International Dance Day with us! HepTown is taking over Lund to spread the joy of swing. We start with a warm-up at Stadshallen and finish with a massive social dance at Stortorget.
👟 WARM-UP: TASTER CLASSES AT STADSHALLEN
Kickstart your morning at Stadshallen! Swing Station offers short, entertaining taster classes with LinaMaria Bengtsson and Jerry Segerberg. All ages are welcome!
- 11:30 – Lindy Hop: Try this swingy African American partner dance from the 30s.
- 12:00 – Airsteps & Acrobatics: Simple tricks and jumps used in Lindy Hop.
- 12:30 – Charleston: Learn the basic steps of the 1920s Charleston.
- 13:00 – Shim Sham: The classic solo jazz routine – a fun and easy choreography!

We gather at 14:45 for HepTown’s big moment on the square. Find Håkan in the exhibition tent all day

- FLYING SHOW: Our performance group presents a high-energy Lindy Hop show with spectacular airsteps!
- SOCIAL DANCE BONANZA: Join us on the square for Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Blues.
- SHIM SHAM FOR EVERYONE: Help us make the ground shake in a communal Shim Sham!
