Club HepCat

Walking into Club HepCat is like entering another world, a place you didn't know still existed. You are back in the Juke joint of the 1940s and the crowd is all with you. Hard, Thrillin' and Swingin'!

At HepCat the music always swings. Anything from 30s Swing Jazz to 50s Rhythm & Blues and Jive might be played, and at almost every event we have live bands playing in styles true to the old days.

The evenings always take off with a brief crash course in Swing dancing so you can enjoy the music on aswellas off the dance floor. The events are frequently visited by HepCat Store selling Retro Gear for your Retro Life Style. Dressing up in a retro style is always appreciated but never required.

Club HepCat usually takes place at Tangopalatset in Malmö, Kulturmejeriet in Lund and Studenterhuset in Copenhagen but other venues and cities are occasionally visited.

We will be partying at Kulturhuset Indre By the whole night. The evening is not schedulet to feature a traditional "Learn-The-Moves" - instead we hope to be able to convince Dan Guest (UK) and Jessica Lennartson (SE) to give everyone an introduction to Laminu - the slow, closed-position, swingdance revived by Dan Guest.
