Grundkurs i Lindy Hop

Denna grundläggande kurs är till för dig som inte har några som helst kunskaper i Lindy Hop, eller som gått någon enstaka kurs för länge sedan och behöver putsa upp grunderna igen.

Du kommer att lära dig olika grundsteg, de vanligaste turerna och grundläggande förar- och följarteknik. Målet med nybörjarkursen är att du ska kunna dansa socialt med oss andra på danskvällarna.

Vem dansar Lindy Hop?

Till våra kurser kommer deltagare ensamma, i par eller med ett gäng vänner. Om du anmäler dig i ett par (förare + följare) är ni garanterade plats så länge kursen inte är fulltecknad. Som ensam följare kommer du med så fort det anmält sig tillräckligt många ensamma förare. Vi uppmanar därför alla att anmäla sig så tidigt som möjligt.

På kursen roterar alla med jämna mellanrum och byter danspartner vilket såklart även gäller de som anmält sig i par. Detta då vår erfarenhet är att man lär sig mycket bättre då

Vad kostar det att gå kurs i Lindy Hop?

*HepCat-medlemspriset för denna helgkurs är 800 kr och HepCat-medlemskap kostar ytterligare 50 kr per termin. En rabatt på 100kr ges till dem som anmäler sig och betalar senats 3 veckor innan kursstart. Ungdomar under 25 samt alla studenter får ytterligare 90kr i rabatt förutsatt att man betalar i förskott.

HepCat Hangout: Mods vs Rockers

This Saturday the hardcore Mods and Rockers will meet up in Malmö for the annual Mods vs Rockers Malmö ride out to HepCat Store.

Any Saturday is a god Saturday to hang out at HepCat Store. This Saturday the hardcore Mods and Rockers will meet up in Malmö for the annual Mods vs Rockers Malmö ride out to HepCat Store.

The rest of us will hang out here for the Hot Dog BBQ and count em in.

No need to bring your own. We’ll provide the meat, the heat and the chef to ”burn” and serve em from lunchtime until about 3 pm.

HepCat Store will be open from 10. The Mods and Rockers are expected to invade around 1 – 2 p.m.

a workshop with two of the finest lindy hoppers from the East, Alina and Fedor.

Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of August SwingShoes will arrange a workshop with two of the finest lindy hoppers from the East, Alina and Fedor.

Saturday

will focus on solo dance and end with a two-hour lesson, how to implement solo moves in your lindy hop. There will be 6 hours of solo classes: 2 hours of solo jazz with focus on African roots, 2 hours of jazz work for trained dancers and 2 hours of bebop. The classes can be taken separate, or you can try if you have the stamina for a hole day of intensive dancing.

5 hours lindy work shop for intermediate level dancers.

Lär dig salsa, tango, bugg, swing och mycket mer i sommar i Folkets Park! Under sex torsdagar i sommar dansar vi loss i Folkets Park. Kom och ta några dansteg till en stil du kanske aldrig tidigare prövat på. Varje tillfälle börjar med workshop med erfarna lärare inom sin genre och sedan avslutas kvällen med liveband så du kan testa dina nya ”moves”. Denna kväll är det swing för hela slanten!

Swing About är ett Malmöbaserat swingband och har bland annat varit återkommande husband på HepTowns måndagsdanser på Mejeriet i Lund. Swing About svänger dig tillbaka ända till 30-talet och inbjuder till fest och klackarna i taket.

Kvällarna är anpassade för alla åldersgrupper och dansen är till för dig som en nyfiken på en ny stil eller för dig som vill utveckla dig. Du som inte vill dansa utan bara vill njuta av härlig musik är självklart också välkommen!

Arrangemanget är ett samarbete med Swing Station och Swing Street.

OverJive spiller op til dans og musikalsk fest på Kulturhuset Islands Brygge! Hvis du har lyst til en halv sen festival dessert, eller bare vil være sikker på en festlig afslutning på En fed festivaldag, så serverer vi dampende varm og svedig swing og jive fra kl. 22.30. Dette er eneste chance for at opleve OverJive på dette års Jazzfestival, så kridt danseskoene, tag det store smil på og smør hænderne i klapsalve og så ses vi på Kulturhuset Islands Brygge!
