Join us for a cosy Blues weekend in Aarhus with 8 hours of classes, two parties, and international-level teaching in a relaxed, friendly setting. We keep everyone in the same track so the classes feel focused, welcoming, and low-pressure, with material adapted to your own level of dancing.<\/p>\n

Saturday \u2014 Jookin\u2019 & house-party energy
On the Saturday, Vesi and Rostom will take you on a journey from Mississippi to Chicago in the first half of the 20th century. You\u2019re invited to a friend\u2019s house party and the music is so good, you can feel the beat in your body and you can\u2019t stop dancing. Together we will explore a variety of Blues music and we will learn how to express them through some of the classic jookin\u2019 moves on your own or with a partner. [On Saturday there will be 4 hours of classes between 11-16]<\/p>\n

Sunday \u2014 Ballroom elegance
On the Sunday, put on your fanciest dress and let\u2019s go together to dance to our favorite Big band playing in the ballroom of your neighborhood. We will move together around the dance floor, side by side or in close embrace turning and playing with different rhythms and shapes. [On Sunday there will be 4 hours of classes between 10-16]<\/p>\n

Friday evening: DJ at Folkestedet
Saturday evening: Live band & DJ at Klostercaf\u00e9en<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf0d Open to anyone who are comfortable with the blues basics!
Keeping everyone in one shared track creates a stronger group energy and removes the stress of level divisions. The teachers design the content so newer dancers get clarity and comfort, while experienced dancers get depth and detail.
