Have fun, get your feet moving and your body bouncing in preperation for next week when we couple up and dance with a partner.<\/p>\n<p>Later we got a lovely twist solo dance routine to Sam Cook\u2019s \u201cTwisting The Night Away\u201d choreographed by the amazing Sharon Davis.<\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t book a spot on this evening. Just show up early and grab one of the 50 spots&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>HOURS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Open: 18.30 \u2013 21.00<\/li>\n<li>Cost: Free*<\/li>\n<li>Easy solo dance class: t.b.a, 18:30-19:20<\/li>\n<li>Challenging solo dance class: Do the twist! 19:30-20:30 <\/li>\n<li>Teacher: t.b.a<\/li>\n<li>Swing DJ: 20.30-21:00**<\/li>\n<li>Schedule: bit.ly\/swingitp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*As part of Sommarlund this is a free event but you are very welcome to support us by becoming a HepCat member.<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.heptown.com\/member\/<\/p>\n<p>** For the swing DJ set you are welcome to solo dance or social dance with 1 fixed partner. No switching partners until most of us are vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>In the autumn, when we are vaccinated, we will go back to the normal state where everyone just dances with everyone.<\/p>\n<h3>50 PEOPLE LIMIT<\/h3>\n<p>To ensure that we are a maximum of 50 people inside the fences around the dance floor, SommarLund has extra staff on site to hand out 50 tags (Dansband). When you go home (or take a longer break) you leave your tag which is then disinfected. There are extra tags to be handed out while the disinfected ones are left to dry.<\/p>\n<h3>IS THIS REALLY A GOOD IDEA!?<\/h3>\n<p><em>It will not be business as usual. We strive to follow and surpass guidelines and recommendations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some examples of measurements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More authentic jazz solo dance classes instead of just coupled Lindy Hop.<\/li>\n<li>Beginners Lindy Hop without rotating partner.<\/li>\n<li>No traditional social dance where everyone dances with everyone  <\/li>\n<li>Fenced dance area with a limit of 50 people at once<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>MORE THAN DANCING<\/h3>\n<p>This is also a good time to have picnic or barbecue while keeping good distance, play some games or just lounging in the sun.<\/p>\n<h3>LOCATION<\/h3>\n<p>The dance-floor will be located at Stadsparken in Lund. Close to  S\u00f6derlyckan Skateboardpark Lund and Mejeriet. Map: https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/f2UPVyj2Kdq1XGfY6<\/p>\n<h3>STAY HYDRATED<\/h3>\n<p>Bring your own water bottle that can be refilled outside the toilets opposite the skate park. https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/RfmjSwmHGfT7prkt9<\/p>\n<h3>SWING DANCE TASTER CLASS<\/h3>\n<p>The evenings used to always start with a short taster class in Lindy Hop aka jitterbug , an African American couple dance from the &#8217;30s Harlem and we will still do this the evenings in July but without rotating partners. Most other evenings we will teach Tap or Authentic jazz solo dance classes instead. Authentic Jazz is a big part of the Lindy Hop scene and a really good way to get your body moving and feel the rhythm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>www.heptown.com<br \/>\nwww.sommarlund.se\/<br \/>\nwww.facebook.com\/SwinginHepTown\/events<\/p>\n<h3>WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER SWING DANCE EVENTS AND CLASSES!?<\/h3>\n<p>All un finished classes from last fall have new preliminary dates in the schedule, some even have spots left and new beginners weekends have been added including a summer weekend.
