Learn ”The Big Apple”!<\/p>\n
The Big Apple routine is one of the most iconic authentic jazz
\nroutines in the swing world, and one that every swing dancer should
\neventually learn. The version danced today was choreographed for the
\ncinema by the legendary Frankie Manning, and can be seen in a famous
\nclip from the 1939 movie ”Keep Punching”: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OfgKMfexdPQ<\/p>\n
In this course, Ali will give you a little background on the dance, and
\nteach you this crazy and captivating routine during four classes; it is
\ngoing to be sweaty, intense, and fun! The course has no particular
\nprerequisites or level requirement. However, it is recommended that you
\nare at least familiar with the most basic jazz steps and preferrably have
\nsome prior experience learning choreography. But don’t hesitate to
\ntry – it’ll be crazy and fun!<\/p>\n
