What is Blues dancing?
Blues dancing is not just one single dance; it is a soulful family of vernacular dances with deep roots in African American culture and history. Unlike dances that rely on rigid patterns, Blues is built entirely on connection, improvisation, and a raw conversation with the music.

In tonight’s introductory session, we will explore the basics so you can easily hit the floor and feel right at home at the party! Curious to see what it looks like when technical precision meets pure soul? Everyone is welcome.
The evening and introductory session are free to attend. If you enjoy the event, we’d love your help in keeping it sustainable—which is especially important tonight to help us support the live band!

☕ Please support Sally’s by enjoying a drink or something to eat.

💛 We also invite voluntary Swish donations to support the musicians, teachers, DJs, and organisers.
A simple way to think about it:
• ☕ Coffee = ”Thanks for a lovely evening.”
• 🍺 Beer = A standard contribution.
• 🍸 Cocktail = Helping us grow the scene and continue hosting live bands!

Finally, if you have a few spare minutes before or after the event, we’d really appreciate an extra pair of hands to help move furniture. Many hands make light work!
