SUMMARY:Workshop: Aerials – focus on spotting\, safety & building blocks
DESCRIPTION:Have you been to our recent Beginner Aerial Workshop\, and you feel like you need more practice? Or have you tried one of our previous aerial workshops\, but you never got around to practicing the material more? Join this workshop in June\, to wrap up / recap / clarify the technique of different aerials and focus on spotting while practicing them. \nThe workshop will be taught by Jonathan and Diane:\nJonathan\, started aerials about 3.5 years with acrobatic R’n’R.\nSince then he has been practicing and sharing knowledge about 2 times a week. Let’s say he knows the fundamentals.\n‘Fear-less’ Diane\, as a former rugby player\, took off with Jonathan.\nTogether then can now do a decent amount of relatively complex moves and explain them. \nWe will give a strong enough background to understand and figure out how to practice aerials safely. We will introduce material that can be used in many aerials (we will not teach all the options but will explain how the building blocks can come together).\nWe will probably not ‘dance’ all the aerials but cover some way to lead them\, initiate or abort them (all safely).\nWe will probably cover a ‘lot’ of material for 2 reasons:\n(1) to see how you can use what you know (or learn on the day) a bit further.\n(2) because it is less painful for your body than doing the same for hours. \nPRICE: 200kr/person \nTIME: 10am – 1pm\nThere will be no formal ‘break’ but because everyone will be spotting and there will be little dancing it will be easy to grab a snack or two. \nLEVEL:\nOpen to all levels\, any kind of dancer / acro-fan (really).\nJust need to be able to jump\, count ‘1-2- down-up’\, and carry your own weight. \nREGISTRATION\nRegister here: http://happyfeetstudio.dk/event/aerials-focus-spotting-safety-building-blocks/ \nPARTNER CHANGE\nThere will be partner change during the workshop. You will be able to match with people you feel confident to try things. And also try with people you may not be confident with at the beginning.\nLearn how to build the trust and safety. SUMMARY:Workshop: Beginner Aerials & Lifts
DESCRIPTION:Lindy Hop is well known for its awesome aerials – jumps and throws into the air. If you want to get a taste of that\, then this workshop is for you! \nWe will teach you some cool looking and easy-to-do aerials: Frog Jump\, A-jump\, Knee Lift and Swingout Throw. These are the simplest aerials\, and also the ones that work best to throw into your dancing spontaneously in e.g. a jam. \nYou can see examples of some them in this video\, where we performed in Kongerigets Klogeste 2014 on DR1:\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4Q0x3Nu9Ic \nYou don’t need much dance experience – the workshop is available for anyone who has at least two months of swing dance experience. \nYou will need a partner though. The party will be hosted by Kuno & Gosia\, who have many fun activities planned for the evening. \nThe preliminary program:\n17.30: Welcome drink is served (will be available until 18.30)\n18.00: The Queens New Year Speech (Dronningens Nytårstale) on big screen.\n18.30: Dinner is served – Delicious New Year’s eve buffet.\n19.30: Les Lancier (for beginners) and other fun dancing games organized by Kuno\n20.30: Dessert and coffee/tea.\n21.00: The dance floor is open to swingin’ tunes by DJ.\n23.40: The classic comedy: ”Dinner for one” (“90 års fødselsdagen”) on our big screen.\n00.00: Bubbles served for all! Together we toast in the New Year!\n00.30: Mixed lindy and modern danceable music by DJ – The party is open to all!\n02.00: Late night Sauna!\n(No end time on the party – we party till we drop!) \nSnowball live stream:\nYou will be able to enjoy the atmosphere from the Snowball in Stockholm all night long. We will have the Snowball live stream playing all night on our big screen – so really we will be partying with over a 1000 people! \nTicket types: \nDinner and Party:  (Sold Out!)\nYou get the full experience\, from the first welcome drink to the last person drops on the dance floor.\nIncluded: Welcome drink\, delicious New Year’s Eve dinner and dessert\, midnight bubbles\, late night sauna and everything else on the program.\nNormal price: 350kr. \nParty from 21.00:\nCome for the dancing\, stay for the good company! You get to join everything on the program from 21.00 and later into the evening.
