Unofficial swingin’ picknick & social dance in Nobelparken 16/6

Vi kör vidare med inofficiella måndagar på ”Dansön” i Brunnshög! Det blir vissa datum mellan 16 juni och 28 juli, och sen varje måndag från och med 4 augusti till 18 augusti.

Denna kväll är gratis och öppen för alla!

Vi ses från 18 men kom gärna tidigare (eller droppa in senare).

Ikväll är Ivar är där med med högtalare och spellista från ca 19, men hjälp gärna till med egen musik .

Ta med filt, dansskor och något gott att äta. Själva dansgolvet går inte att boka men brukar vara ledigt.

Generellt ingen officiell DJ. Fritt fram för alla som vill bestämma över musiken. Det finns en megafon som du kan lägga din mobil i som då förstärker ljudet oväntat bra…

Kulturnatten i Lund Dansar 2025

Tonight we get the rare opportunity to swing out all night to a proper big band! SWINGULARITY BIG BAND is coming to Wednesday Night Hop with their spectacular show:

As an extra special treat, we also have a drop-in Lindy Hop taster class for beginners in Spegelsalen! (What better day to bring that friend along to learn Lindy Hop than during this incredible evening of live music!)

ABOUT THE BAND

Swingularity Big Band was founded in Lund in 2020 and plays everything from 1930s hits to modern tunes. We want to give the big band tradition a place to be seen and heard! For dancing, at parties, or maybe just on an ordinary Tuesday. Alive, close, and completely here and now.

Vi kommer att dansa solo och i par, samt prova enklare akrobatiska inslag. Glöm inte bekväma träningskläder, inneskor/träningsskor om ni har men behövs ej (inga skor är tillåtna på mattan under kurs), vattenflaska, egna snacks vid behov, samt ev ombyte. Föräldrar är välkomna att vänta i entrén på Stenkrossen. Ta gärna med egen fika.

We will start the evening by listening to “Swing Music” and discuss “just how much does it actually swing?” … DJ Todi has a crazy playlist prepared to challenge our ears.

In the 2nd session. We’ll have a tour of the equipment at Moriskan and our new Mixer that we recently purchased. If you are an active DJ please bring your laptop so we can install the necessary driver to use the built-in sound card!
