DESCRIPTION:Train Hop is a weekly training event for swing dancers in Malmö. Bring a partner if you need one\, or come prepared with things to work on by yourself. We all try to help one another\, but you are responsible for your own practice. \nIt is not a social dance or a class – but you also don’t need to be doing super serious hardcore practicing. Goofy dancing\, lazy stretching\, and sitting down and talking is completely allowed. Beginners are especially welcome ♥ \nAsk for lindy hop in the reception if you don’t know where to go. The event is for free\, but remember to send your name and personnummer to Emma Johansson – Studiefrämjandet needs it to get government funding for all the amazing stuff they do. \n\nLike planning? Does “gangster swing” and “updated retro coolness” sound interesting? Then HepTown’s beginners Lindy Hop weekend workshop in Helsingborg is the thing for you! \nOur introductory course is for those who have no knowledge of Lindy Hop\, or took a couple of courses a long time ago and need to brush up the basics again. \nYou will learn different basic steps\, the most common figures and basic leading/following techniques. The aim of the introductory course is to enable you to dance with the rest of us during social dance nights. \nThe workshop is a two-day introduction to this cool thing called Swing. We promise a workout worth a fitness centre combined with more fun than you’ve had for weeks. And now\, lucky us\, his European tour brings him back to Malmö. \nGet ready for the second edition of The September Blues! \n//Swing Station in association with Cats Corner \nSATURDAY-SUNDAY WORKSHOP\n– WITH BRIAN LUCKY SKILLEN \nFor dancers that are new to blues and want to learn the fundamentals of blues dancing and intermediate/advanced bluesdancers that want to get better at it. \n11.00-16.30 \nClass 1 – Juke joint –  is a style of blues based off of the slow\ndances being done in Juke joints around America at the turn of the last century. This class will give you a firm grip on the basics of blues dancing and will go over weight shifts\, pulse\, fishtails and counter balance. \nClass 2 – Ballrooming – Is the modern interpretation for the slow dancing done at the Savoy Ballroom in the 40’s and 50’s traditionally it was danced with many turns lifts and dips. Today it has been developed into very dynamic dance adding a new flavor of movement to the floor craft \nClass 3 – Connection – This class will bring a whole new connection to you and your partner. It will go over the 3 classic types of connection and touch on a fourth. It will help you to bring together you and your partner and will bring a whole new understanding to the dance. \nClass 4 –  Turning technique – This class will teach you the basics of turning and give you several turning patterns to use in your dancing \nSUNDAY \nClass 5 Connecting Solo – This class will teach you fun and exciting solo movement to put into your partner dancing. It will also focus on blues skip ups a fundamental in blues dancing. \nClass 6 – Rhythm and slides – This class will give you fun slides that will add to your blues dancing. It will teach you how to get from point A to point B with style. \nClass 7  – Single axis Series – This class will go over several single axis moves that will impress the crowds and add amazing flow to your dancing. \nClass 8 – Micro Blues -This is a modern style of blues that uses small movements to communicate to your partner. DESCRIPTION:The fourth Monday Night Swing this Fall kicks off at 7-8 pm with a  Lindy Hop class for beginners. No previous experience is needed. \nAfter the class more happy people will join in to swing-out out at our weekly social dance at Kårhuset in Lund. Music from the good old days will be hovering over the smooth dance-floor. SUMMARY:Trainhop 25/8-2019
DESCRIPTION:Train Hop is a weekly training event for swing dancers in Malmö. Bring a partner if you need one\, or come prepared with things to work on by yourself. We all try to help one another\, but you are responsible for your own practice. \nIt is not a social dance or a class – but you also don’t need to be doing super serious hardcore practicing. Goofy dancing\, lazy stretching\, and sitting down and talking is completely allowed. Beginners are especially welcome ♥ \nAsk for lindy hop in the reception if you don’t know where to go. The event is for free\, but remember to send your name and personnummer to Emma Johansson – Studiefrämjandet needs it to get government funding for all the amazing stuff they do. \n\nLike planning? Our autumn schedule is Sundays 18.15-20.30 in room 307 at Studiefrämjandet in Malmö. \nThe times and room may change\, so make sure to keep an eye on facebook events and don’t be afraid to ask Emma Johansson or Mathias Brännström(admin) if you have any questions.

DESCRIPTION:As it is the first Sunday of the month\, we will start with a one-hour introduction to Lindy Hop.
