We keep everyone in the same track so the classes feel focused\, welcoming\, and low-pressure\, with material adapted to your own level of dancing. \n🗓 When: January 23rd – January 25th \n💃 What you get: • 8 hours of structured\, digestible teaching• International-level instruction in an intimate event• Friday cozy warm-up party• Saturday evening party (live band + DJ)• One shared track\, community-focused and level-adaptive• Comfortable pacing that works for newer and experienced dancers• Real Blues music\, DJs who care about the feeling• A friendly vibe that makes it easy to meet people and enjoy the weekend• Teachers: Vesi & Rostom \nSaturday — Jookin’ & house-party energyOn the Saturday\, Vesi and Rostom will take you on a journey from Mississippi to Chicago in the first half of the 20th century. You’re invited to a friend’s house party and the music is so good\, you can feel the beat in your body and you can’t stop dancing. Together we will explore a variety of Blues music and we will learn how to express them through some of the classic jookin’ moves on your own or with a partner. [On Saturday there will be 4 hours of classes between 11-16] \nSunday — Ballroom eleganceOn the Sunday\, put on your fanciest dress and let’s go together to dance to our favorite Big band playing in the ballroom of your neighborhood. We will move together around the dance floor\, side by side or in close embrace turning and playing with different rhythms and shapes. [On Sunday there will be 4 hours of classes between 10-16] \n🎶 Parties:Friday evening: DJ at FolkestedetSaturday evening: Live band & DJ at Klostercaféen \n🌍 Open to anyone who are comfortable with the blues basics!Keeping everyone in one shared track creates a stronger group energy and removes the stress of level divisions.
