DESCRIPTION:⚠️ IMPORTANT INFO FOR TONIGHT ONLY (JUNE 17th)!\nSince “Stallet” (behind Mejeriet) is closed for Midsummer week\, we are moving the after-dance hangout directly to the dance floor! Instead\, we’ll have a cozy BYO (Bring Your Own) picnic and hangout right where we are. Bring something tasty to eat\, and feel free to pack a little extra to share with those who might have missed this update. We’ll turn down the tempo and play some smooth blues music for everyone who wants to keep dancing into the night! \nHepTown and Visit Lund invite you to Swing in the Park every Wednesday from June 17th to August 5th\, 2026! \nAs usual\, we’ll have a taster class in Lindy Hop – a high-energy and fun swing dance – followed by social dancing to great swing music under the open sky. \n☀️ QUICK FACTS\n\nThe whole evening is free!\nDrop-in\, no registration needed\nYou are equally welcome with or without a dance partner\nOpen to all ages and dance experience levels\nWe rotate partners during class (it’s more fun and better for learning!)\n\nWe start from scratch every time so new beginners can join in\, but we vary the content slightly for those attending multiple weeks. (Please note: these tasters do not replace our regular full courses or weekend camps). \n🕒 SCHEDULE FOR TONIGHT\n\n18:30 – 21:00: Open\n18:30 – 19:30: Beginners Lindy Hop drop-in taster\n19:30 – 21:00: Social dance\n21:00 – late: BYO Picnic\, after-hang\, and blues dancing directly on the dance floor!\n\n📍 LOCATION\nThe dance floor with the white tent roof is located in Stadsparken\, Lund. Close to Söderlyckan Skateboardpark and Mejeriet.\nMap to the dance floor \n👟 WHAT IS LINDY HOP?\nThe evenings start with a short introduction to Lindy Hop (a.k.a. Jitterbug)\, an African American partner dance from 1930s Harlem. Stylistically\, it has more in common with today’s street dance than other ballroom dances! \n🍉 MORE THAN JUST DANCING\nThe park is perfect for a picnic\, a barbecue\, or just lounging in the sun between dances.
