About the Site

HepTown.com is the central for retro culture and swing dancing in the Öresund Region (Skåne in southern Sweden and Själland in Denmark). It is also an "umbrella"-site for all things arranged, produced etc. by HepTown ek.för. (Club Hep Cat, RetroBlaster, HepTown Records etc.)

In the forum we have a site FAQ that is continously being updated concerning almost everything on the site. There you can ask questions and get quick answers about anything concerning the web site

Browser Compatibility

This site has been built according to web standards (xhtml and css). Most modern browsers support these fully and show the site as it is meant to be shown. Unfortunately Internet Explorer is very much out of date and out of sync with standards and thus it will not always show the site perfectly. We have done our best to try and make the site work and hopefully you won't notice any errors with internet explorer (though there are things that will look nicer on better browsers). But we still recommend you get a new safer, faster and more secure browser such as FireFox instead.

The site should look fine in screen resolutions from 800x600 and larger.

Translation Policy

On all pages of the site you will find language flags on the top right of the page. Click these to change the language of the site.
We support English, Swedish and Danish. Our goal is to have most of the site in all languages most of the time and all of the site available in English all of the time. If you come to a page and some material is not available in your chosen language it will be shown in English instead (if by accident some text is not available in English it will be shown in another language)

User Registration / My Account

Registering at the site and you can enhance your user experience. You get access to filtering of information on the site, setting your own default language, you can comment on photos in our gallery etc.If you feel like you want to contribute more to the site the webmaster can also give you access to upload photos, add links to our database, etc. if you are registered.

To register for dance classes you have to register yourself on the site. This is done for one main reason: When you register for classes all your information will be saved and next time you register everything will already be there. You will also have access to your history of classes taken, contact information to other people in your class (if they choose to make it public).
