Stockamöllan Swingfestival & Dance Camp 12th - 14th of June
Gunhild Carling, our own godess of swing, will enchant this summer by arranging another eagerly awaited swing festival. In addition to inviting the elite among swing musicians, she has invited the famous dance performance group, Harlem Hot Shots, who will entertain at nights and give dance workshops during the days.
On stage: Gilbert Leroux, Gunhild Carling kvartett, Antti Sarpila, Harlem Hot Shots, Joe Spinaci Combo, Swing Al Dente, John Pohlman kvartett, Carling Big Band, Malin Nilsson..

- A second stage with a dance floor on solid ground
- Four dace floors to make room for more theme classes and private lessons
- Camping and showers right next to the festival (not 2km away)
- A whole bus filled with swing cats from Gothenburg joining us

- Beginners' swing classes
Visiting the festival for evening concerts and social dance is SEK260-280 per night. Those who wish to participate in the workshops, and are willing to follow a 1920’s -1940’s dress code (during the nights), are offered a wonderful package of classes, evening dances and camping for only SEK 690 for the full weekend. The condition is that you pre-register and pay in advance to PG 341572–6 (Jazz art Sweden). Visitors from abroad may pay at arrival, but note that the registration is binding.
Harlem Hot Shots are currently working on a full menu of theme classes. Themes last year were: foot work variation,
fast Lindy, swingin at the Savoy, classic moves, 20's solo charleston, authentic jazz, Harlems special, slow dancing
musicality, tap dancing, jig walks, swing charleston, dips and tricks, aerials, rhythm variations. You will be able to register to four different levels, and will be able to attend four classes at a suitable level.Just klick on a sutible level...

Visa Stockamöllan Swingfestival 2009 på en större karta
How to get there by car: You can reach Stockamöllan from road 13 between Höör and Eslöv. At Hasslebro, where the road crosses Rönne Å, follow the signs to Billinge, which will lead you to Stockamöllan.
Public transport: There will be buses driving regularly during the festival between Stockamöllan and Stehag, where you can continue by train to Malmö eller Höör.
